boygenius (phoebe bridgers, julien baker, and lucy dacus) and taylor swift are some of my favorite artists of all time. a song boygenius’ most recent album released this march 31st, “we’re in love”, references “this love” by taylor swift.“and i could go on and on / i will” takes on an entirely new meaning: the stubborn insistence of remaining in spite of it all.
this comes mere days after phoebe presents taylor at the iheartradio awards with the innovator award, telling audiences an anecdote in that signature way about hearing her music on he radio and feeling that her feelings were real. what a strange thing that we are always echoing out small lived experiences all throughout our lives before we even recognize them until many years later.
